Ranum had asked why there were delays on the issuance of land grants to participants involved in Salcras oil palm plantation scheme, especially in the Lundu District Sebako Scheme which is almost at the replanting stage.

Len Talif went on to say that for the Salcra Sebako Scheme, as many as 1,153 lots had been surveyed, and 702 from the total were issued with land titles under Section 18 of the Sarawak Land Code.

The land title issuance for the remaining 451 lots are currently being finalised, Len added.

He also said that in order to speed up the matters of issuance of land titles in Salcra schemes, Salcra and the Land and Survey Department had identified appropriate mechanisms to ensure the issuing of land titles could be done systematically.
