Covid-19: 1 new cluster, dubbed Jalan Maju Cluster, detected in Sibu

KUCHING (Apr 6): The State Health Department on Tuesday has declared a new Covid-19 infection cluster in Sibu dubbed as Jalan Maju Cluster, said deputy chief minister Datuk Amar Douglas Uggah Embas.
“Today 40 clusters are still active. Of the total, nine clusters have recorded increases in new cases.
“The other 31 clusters had no additional cases,” the State Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) chairman he told a press conference on Covid-19 updates.
Meanwhile, Tembok Sri Aman Cluster in Sri Aman recorded the highest additional cases at 128, bringing the total to 288 cases recorded in this cluster. A total of 467 individuals have been screened whereby 144 were found negative and 35 are still waiting for laboratory results.

This was followed by Bulatan Aman Cluster in Sibu, which recorded 18 new cases for the day.
Jalan Kingsway Cluster in Miri had six new cases.
Kampung Binyu Cluster in Kuching and Lorong Desa Senadin in Miri each recorded four new cases for the day.
Kampung Baru Hilir Cluster in Samarahan and Jalan Sanyan Cluster in Sibu had two additional cases each, while Sungai Rassau Cluster in Matu recorded one.
